Today, I decided it was time to purchase the domain, so look for this blog in the future at http://www.makingofawalking.org. Watch for exciting new things in the future on this site. Soon I will purchase a customized theme and buy some space with all the bells and whistles. Then, this site will become what I envision it to be.
Much of the history of the quest for free assembly and peace on earth will become a large part of this site and serve as a reference archive. It will be filled with folk stories and the adventures of many traveling peace seekers.

Reviving This Blog
Making of A Walking was a blog started by me, Summer Breeze, better known online as The Midnight Writer, about three years ago. It served as a storehouse for legal files such as; court documents, emails, research and information posted on other web services about the legal case.
This legal case involved me, Summer Breeze, getting a citation July 10, 2002, in a national forest in Michigan for gathering on national forest system lands without a permit. I was attending a rainbow gathering.
The real issue is free assembly on public lands and the right of the people to peaceably assemble according to the Constitution for these united States of America.
Two years later at an annual gathering of the tribes of the rainbow family of living light, my two and a half years of arraignments, trial and harassment came to a close after I was arrested, transported for thirty days, then released by a Federal Judge in Marquette, Michigan.
I have never connected all the pieces of this trial and the time it consumed my life in my effort to preserve my rights. That is my goal on this blog. I plan to keep the original in tact as much as possible as a point of historical reference, while adding further collected and preserved information. Added to that compilation, I intend to gather and display on this site related cases, history and supportive legal information.
