I found an interesting article in a web directory that I wanted to share and review with you. Since I'm in business, I'm always checking out information about business trends and technology. I like to study the market and other people's insight about the latest in the business world. I'm a firm believer that opinions matter and that the opinions of our fellow business entrepreneurs directly affects our behavior and mindset in how we conduct business.
That's why it is so important to monitor the trends. Social Sites are a great indicator of the potential success or failure of trends in business. I found this article of particular interest.
Taste, Trends and Technology: How Will the Future Affect Your Business
The article author evaluated all three elements mentioned in the title to determine the soundness of a future business plan. I found the article to be very insightful. It's application could be applied in generic form to evaluate any business proposal. Bookmark this one for a little intelligent viewpoint analysis and study its pros and cons. If you are in the business strategy department, you could use this article to develop and implement a platform to analyze your company's future investments.
The author studied the aspects of culture and how people adopt trends or fads from one generation to another, or even year to year. Then he made a comparison across generations and decades to show how tastes change as culture changes. It's a socialistic viewpoint that demonstrates how people make buying decisions and how the economy affects the trends, tastes and technology. It's basically back to the money but the road there is enlightening. It's a good read.
In the same article directory, I found another gem that provides insight. This one focuses on banking.
Variable rate is based on the Bank Prime
Since we're discussing trends and business investments, I felt its mention was appropriate to reinforce my statement about the importance of money in economics and investments based on cultural trends. Enjoy the late night musings of a wandering mind. I hope these articles provide you with some value for your internet time.

Original Intent of this Site was to Record Free Assembly Files
About five years ago I was heavily involved with mediation and activism surrounding the rights to free assembly on public lands. Over the course of five or more years, I attended many assemblies that consisted of thousands of people gathering on National Forest Lands. In that time, I was called to task as a witness and defender of this right, both on the land and in the court room.
I was cited in the National Forest by Forest Service federal agents for not having a permit to assemble. I took my claim to this most sacred basic right to Federal court where the trials that ensued took three years of my life.
The quest for justice consumed much of my time and energy. It became my life. I worked with lawyers, judges, individuals, activists, journalists and all sorts of people during this time - including government workers who believed in this inherent right.
During this time, I kept many records which have yet to be published in one place. This blog began as an attempt to keep a record, so if you visit the archives, you will find emails and court records. It's a fascinating ensemble that I wanted to call to your attention.
This blog's archives is a book about the making of a walking, and hence, it's name.

Memorial Fund for Gabriel
It is with a heavy heart that I write this today because I miss a little boy named Gabriel. Watching his brother Raven and his father Woodstock, a/k/a Loren David O'Connor, suffer through the pain of their loss while trying to make arrangements for his burial, memorial and wake is really hard. Gabriel Jaden Coates was with us for a short 3 years, 2 months and 2 days, yet he has made a profound impression on the hearts of people that will last forever. He left this earth to enter the spirit world on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at about 11 am. Gabriel fell into the water of the Antelope Creek, which was fast moving and deep. His body was recovered by very compassionate rescue workers about two hours later.Woodstock, Raven, his friends and family are sort of moving in a state of unreal shock. Things need to get done. So we are helping in whatever way we can. Funds are urgently needed to buy the casket and to buy a plot where he will be laid to rest. Please spread the word and help in whatever way you can.
Please visit the dedication site for Gabriel at http://www.angelsforgabriel.org. News and information about his memorial, burial and wake will be posted on this blog. Lots of pictures will be loaded soon that I took of the gathering site where little Gabriel drowned. We took photos of the creek and the campsite where he laughed, played and enjoyed. There is a very spiritual picture on the site now that shows what we believe is Gabriel's spirit that appeared while Woodstock and I were standing by the stream talking about Gabriel, about what happened, about his life, about what to do now. It is then that we both felt his presence and a butterfly landed on Woodstock after that moment. I took a photo in the direction of where they found Gabriel's body in the water and that is where the column of light appeared. It was an intense, sad, happy, etherical time.
We will be assisting Woodstock with transferring of funds to the Funeral home when it is placed on the paypal in the amount we need. The general manager Chris Girdner at the Girdner Funeral Chapel is giving us until Tuesday at closing time to come up with the total for the casket. This is urgent. Other arrangements are being made and other funds are needed very much. Please email angelsforgabriel@gmail.com if you have questions or if you want to help in some way.
The Forest Service, the fire department, the Siskiyou county Sheriff's department, the Fish and Game dept. personnel, and the townspeople volunteers from Tennant were very gentle, kind, compassionate during the entire ordeal. We are all grateful to them for the way they handled this situation.
I have many things to write and memorial signs and brochures to make, and a website to update, so please help us facilitate this link being spread far and wide to get the funds together. Gabriel deserves a decent casket, memorial, burial and wake. Help us give him that much, please. Woodstock should not have to concern himself with money at a time like this. Right now we are all camping in our rigs while this is all taking place, so family please plug into this compassionate service.
Much love and blessings.
Summer Breeze on behalf of Woodstock, Raven, Gabriel & Raven and
Jazzy all his friends and family.

We Stand in the Valley of Decision
This is where we find ourselves as a people on this earth during these times. Are you ready to make a choice?
I am following the prompting of the holy spirit of God today as I'm led to publish these messages and videos on my blogs. Please take time to listen to the messages and to consider what it means to you in your life. Decide where you will stand and what you will do as the earth prepares to greet her Creator.

When Does Scouting for a Rainbow Gathering Begin?
Scouting usually begins in late spring, about mid April to early May, depending on the weather in the area. Snow pack will determine if the scouts who volunteer to travel the sites in the National Forests being considered will be able to get into the area. A lot of National Forests are buried in snow until mid May. So Mark your calendars for the middle of April if you want to adventure into the mountains of New Mexico.
The next step will be to read the groups online, like alt.gathering.rainbow at google groups to follow the online discussions. Find other groups at yahoo by typing in a search for rainbow gathering counsels, discussions, scouts and gatherings. This will produce a good listing from which to choose. Read the unofficial site at www.welcomehome.org for updates that reach consensus by the people who are on site, whether it be at a scout council, spring council, or vision council.
Participate in the councils online, attend gatherings and potluck dinners on a regional level to meet and talk with people who will be part of the scouting process. Write down some emails and contact the people personally if you want to be part of the process.
Please post your questions in the comment section of this blog. Be sure to include your blog link and an email at which I can contact you. I really need the readers feedback so I know what you want to read about here.

Preparing for the New Mexico Rainbow Gathering
It is only late January, but time has a way of creeping up on us. June will be here before you know it and I'll be camped at the annual gathering of the tribes of the rainbow family of living light. Now is the time to start dialogue about scouting and councils. Now is the time to move forward on our efforts to change the regulations regarding free assembly on National Forest System lands.
There are a list of things to do, but a few of them take precedence.
Top Priority
Contact the Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson. New Mexico will be the host state for this year's annual gathering so it is vital to engage the governor in conversations regarding peaceable assembly and the ongoing struggles with law enforcement.

Blog Advertising Gives Your Business Exposure
The business marketing world is a massive incomprehensible place. With internet technology capable of reaching millions of people daily by simply typing a few words then pressing a button to "send" - almost instantly- the business world grows even larger.
How do you get the word out for your business?
There are so many places and so many ways to advertise,
so where do you begin?
There are so many places and so many ways to advertise,
so where do you begin?
I know what works for me, Advertising on Blogs!
Did you know that advertising and blogs are like a hand and a glove?

What I mean by that statement is that one works better with the other.
Advertising and Blogs
It works but there are so many companies out there who will advertise your company on their blogs by using professional freelance writers, like me.
How do you choose a company to select the freelance writer for you?
Use a company that specializes in bringing bloggers and advertisers together. I work for one that offers a good service and fair prices for both the advertiser and the blogger.
I am going to tell you my secret, well, one of my secrets!
One company who pays me to write posts for their advertisers is
Paying Post.

Paying Post.
They released a new layout last month that I find very appealing to the eyes. The colors are soft pastels and the Avatars are adorable. It is a pleasure to write for a website with such appeal. I look at a computer all day long so any way to reduce eye strain is a plus for me.
What is more important than the cosmetic appeal, is the functionality. The tabs are easily designed and located in a way that makes it simple to maneuver the site, even for a beginner. Paying Post's website is not cluttered either, so it is easy to find the tab to a page you might be looking to click.
The fact that Advertisers will pay fifty percent less to have Paying Post hire a blogging writer to review them is an excellent incentive to give them your advertising business today.
And bloggers, don't hesitate to try this new company. Paying Post allows bloggers to enter ten blogs on this site and to reserve three posts per day once your blog qualifies. Having page rank is important though, so get your blog up to speed before you try to qualify.

Troubleshooting This Template
Since I loaded a new template here yesterday, I am experiencing a few problems with the header image loading. Please bear with me as I work on troubleshooting to get this blog running properly. Trust me, it will be functional, useful, informative and appealing when it's finished.
There are a lot of legal links and important resource files for legal research and representation that will be posted at this site. Be sure to check back about once a week to see what's new.
If you have a story to share about free assembly, the first amendment, a rainbow gathering event, or any assembly event and want to share it here, please post it in the comment section along with your contact information, or email themidnightwriter1@gmail.com. I will get back to you as quickly as I am able, usually within a day or two to discuss posting your story here.
The Making of A Walking team welcomes all feedback and we enjoy sharing information. We encourage circulating important news and stories of interest to the people in general. If you have an upcoming event, please share that with us as well. There will be a page developing that will feature lobbying for rights, assemblies for prayer or speech, any marches or protests or initiatives taken by those striving to protect our rights. This includes letter writing campaigns to public representatives. Your input on how to develop this section on the blog is welcome.
Till then, join us in the making of a walking in Alexandria and Washington DC. We are preparing for the coming annual gathering of the tribes of the rainbow family of living light to be held in July 2009 in the state of New Mexico. For further information on rainbow gatherings, visit www.welcomehome.org.
Thanks for reading and we look forward to your participation in this journey.

Preparing for New President
I am wondering what changes will occur when President Elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden take office after the Inauguration on January 20, 2009. Many noticeable changes have already taken place since their election as they make transition from one administration to the next. America is being prepared for an overhaul like it was an old '57 Chevy being taken to the garage to be rebuilt.
Some very important issues relative to rights, freedoms, the constitution and how the administration will relate and how they will govern will be on the forefront of our concerns.
Free assembly is still the most basic crucial right for all people. Protected under laws as a basic tenet to the American people, this is one right we will strive to protect and secure even further. Given our work with the Forest Service regarding the free assembly of the people on national forest system public lands over the past twelve years, it is the heart of our struggle.
36 CFR 251 & 261.10(k) loom on the horizon as either a great obstacle or a great triumph as we work to secure better written legislation governing this basic right of assembly. This next four years will be an intense focus for us.
It will begin and end in Washington DC before the House of Congress. Walk with us as we continue the journey back to the rights afforded when this great nation was founded by many of our forefathers and foremothers.
We are attempting to secure appointments with Senators regarding efforts to convince the next Undersecretary of Agriculture to give us voice now that Mark Rey has ended his seven year term and become a private citizen, as of yesterday January 9, 2009.
Letters are being written to Senators, Congressmen and women, the Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson, and citizens of this country to encourage continued dialogue on these regulations that have plagued the people who gather for spiritual worship and peaceable assembly every year in our national forests.
Watch for updates on the meetings that result from this effort. Letters will be posted in pdf file attachments as soon as I am able to transfer those files and finish making contact.
Come back to look for updates often. Tell us how you feel about free assembly as a first amendment right and tell us how this affects you if it is restricted.
Thanks for visiting.
