Dear Joy,
I am on the road trying to make money to get to Michigan and to
pay my rent. Been scouting temporary work assignments in Redding
and Chico, and for the weekend have not been near a phone. I will
call you Tuesday, May 3, 2004 if I am able to reach you in the office.
I might be in my office again in Mount Shasta by the fifth, if I
have enough money for the train by then. If not, I do not know what I will do.
My jaw is seriously infected, so I am having to deal with that.
I need a dentist to remove three or four teeth but cannot afford
it at the moment. If the infection and swelling gets much worse,
I will need to go to the hospital. Today, I hope to pick up some
natural herbal antibiotics to combat the infection so I can continue
working to raise the transportation money. It is very expensive!
As for my case, I do not know what to say about any of that right
now. We can talk, but I do not know what direction our talking might
lead. My chance to file motions that I wanted came and went without
it happening. I want a Motion to Dismiss. I need a Motion to Continue
to allow more time to strategize on this. I need and want a court
with a Judge, not a Magistrate Judge. I want a trial by jury. If
that is denied, I at least want a different Judge, one who is not
predisposed to being pre-judgmental of my innocence or guilt and
one who is not pre-disposed already to finding me guilty. I need
a judge and a lawyer who will retain all my rights under the law
of this land and our constitution. If all those rights continue
to be disregarded, I do not know what strategy or talking will help my case.
I am under duress and left without a recourse for a redress of grievances,
and the court does not seem to care.
If you can address these issues, honestly and whole heartedly with
all your effort, and if you can demonstrate that I deserve justice
and a fair trial, then we would have something to talk about. Until
then, I do not know what to say.
Think about all these things, and please write back with a solution and honest answers.
