Forest Service Closure Orders for California Rainbow Gathering 2004

South Warner Mountain Closure Area
Exhibit A
Forest Order 09-04-04

The South Warner Mountain Closure Area is described as an area beginning at the southeast corner of the Modoc National Forest boundary near an area locally known as Lava Slides. The eastern boundary travels from this point north along the eastern boundary of the Modoc National Forest to a point where Forest Road 39N01 leaves the Modoc National Forest. This point is also the southeastern most boundary of the South Warner Mountain Wilderness Area. The northern boundary of the closure area begins at this point and follows the southern boundary of the South Warner Mountain Wilderness area, which travels in a westerly direction to a point on the Wilderness boundary just north of Clear Lake. This point intersects with Forest Road 40N16. The northern boundary of the closure area follows this road to the intersection with Forest Road 40N24. From this point, the northern boundary travels in a westerly direction on Forest Road 40N24 to its intersection with Forest Road 42N05. From this intersection, the closure area follows in a westerly direction on Forest Road 42N05 to its intersection with Forest Road 40N02. From this intersection, the northern boundary turns in a northwest direction and follow Forest Road 40N02 to the western most boundary of the Modoc National Forest. From the intersection of Forest Road 40N02 and the Modoc National Forest boundary, the boundary of the closure area travels south along the western boundary of the Modoc National Forest to the southwest corner of the Forest near Deep Corral Road. From this point, the southern most boundary of the closure area travels east, following the Modoc National Forest boundary, to the point of origin at the southeast corner of the Modoc National Forest.
