Dear Cheryl,
Pursuant to your request, I left a message at your home explaining that I had received a telephone call and letter from the attorney who you had talked to about your case. They are not going to take your case. I do not know why.
You told me that if they were not going to take your case that you were going to "go ahead with your motions." I took this to mean that you wanted to do this yourself and that I was discharged as your attorney. As you had also requested, I filed a motion to withdraw. The judge has denied my motion, I found this out on Friday. I can renew my motion to withdraw, but I would need a letter from you specifically stating that you are discharging me. It is likely that unless you have new counsel, the judge will not completely remove me from the case, but I would be "stand-by counsel"which means that I would be available to you to answer questions, etc.
I need to know immediately what your intentions are. All motions are due by April 7. Obviously, this is not much time. As of now, I am still your attorney and this is prejudicing my ability to do my job. Please contact me as soon as possible.
